Since the beginning of time whatever we are
As people today, we cannot have come far
From our instincts: Once our only tools
For survival programmed by some "God"
They helped for a while until we started ignoring the fact
That our lives are one shot…
A play with one act.
It’s times like this when I worry about myself.
I worry for my future. I worry for my health.
In a world where emotion has us hostage and trapped
In our minds, so frozen in fear we can’t act
In our best interests, to free us of our self-enslavement.
Our bodies are paralyzed, glued to the pavement
Unable to advance, grow or evolve.
When problems overwhelm us, we're unable to solve
The equation in time to save our souls
And our hearts dissolve, leaving dark, black holes
In our bodies. Forever now missing a piece
And the subsequent anxiety will never cease.

The Orlando Massacre and the 2nd Amendment
This post is probably going to bite me in the ass big time, but there is so much misinformation out there! I'm a Class-A Large Capacity firearm licensee and avid shooter and have been for years, and like MOST people who believe in the second amendment, I am NOT some close minded person. I am reasonable, educated, and willing to compromise. The NRA's extreme views on the matter do not represent me, and neither do the extreme liberal views on the matter. Somethings are facts, however, and somethings are not. Maybe I can clear a few things up by explaining the rationales many people use to argue against commonly proposed gun laws. Maybe I can ex
Brown hair, dark eyes. About five feet tall.
Who could have guessed that for you I’d fall?
Into feelings of longing, comfort and calm
in a world where the two of us could belong
to each other, with no one else in the way
of happiness, love, and safety each day.
We have a connection I cannot explain.
Trying to rationalize, I might go insane!
This just feels right! I met you for a reason.
No sense in hiding it season after season.
You're gorgeous, smart, funny and kind
and I'm quickly falling for your beautiful mind.
You’re a little bit older, I have to admit,
but that's no reason for me to submit
from my feelings. I can’t
Tick tick tick of the clock.
Like the beat beat beat of the heart.
We travel through time whether we want to or not
Until death when our bodies and spirit’s will part.
One chance at life. One chance to die well.
We live every day to the end of our roads.
The meaning of which eludes most of us.
Many buckle under the load.
But I know the meaning of life my friends
So listen, it’s yours to hear.
The world was made for those in pairs.
It matters not what sex you find dear.
Be willing to pay the ultimate price
For the ultimate of gifts.
Open your soul to the one that you love
And set your spirit adrift.
Two souls make a whole, thro
It starts like an itch… a need to flex and twitch
Adrenaline courses through my veins like a raging river.
The levies of my mind try to hold back the flood,
But the water crashes through the dam of my resolve.
The world fades away for a moment.
Nothing is relevant except the feeling.
Doctors call it a “tic,” for sure it only lasts a second in time
But the second feels like an hour at least
And there’s really no reason or rhyme
To this madness.
A personal defeat?
The inability to control my own body is frustrating as hell,
Denial sets in, but I try not to dwell.
As sure as the feeling, the muscles contract
In a burst
